Fine pair of Chinese armchairs, elm with traces of lacquer, Shanxi Province, late 17th /early 18th Century. These chairs exemplify the delicacy and simplicity of the best rural Chinese furniture from the period. Little seen in the West until recently, this furniture will fit into both modern and antique environments. Height: 40½"; Width: 24"; Depth: 17¾"
