Chinese Export reverse painting on glass painted about 1800 based on a print made in 1793 of a 1792 painting by Mather Brown (1761-1831), Boston artist working in London. There is a similar Export painting in the Peabody Essex Museum of Salem, Massachusetts. Original gilded frame.
