Unusual New England pine step-back cupboard with a folding writing surface and glass doors, on a bracket base, New England, circa 1800, in original dark red surface and crazed varnish. The unusual scalloped valances and partitions on the upper case had a specific function which is unknown, possibly from a country store. Ht. 70 1/2"; W. 38"; D. 17 1/2".
