Redware Sugar Bowl
Rare redware sugar bowl with a bird finial on the lid, attributed to Anthony Baecher, Adams County, PA, c. 1855. The base of the bowl serves as a pedestal for the sculpted bird. Condition: Bowl in very nice condition with a chip and some minor nicks to rim of bowl, lid with a 7/8" chip to flange on underside of lid, a small rim chip, a typical chip to tip of bird's beak, and some old, light exfoliation to top of lid. H (including lid): 7 1/4".
